Something To Crow About!

This blog has been temporarily interrupted..............away from chicken talk, away from egg counting, away from duck watching and away from the grounds of the farm.................

I had made it a point to not to write about my family in this blog................

My family is what my whole world is made of and I am very protective about each member and their privacy...................however, this is one thing I just cant keep quiet.................... no matter what...............

My son Joseph, who is a senior and will be graduating from high school in just a couple of weeks, won the gold medal in Physics in the UIL State Competition!
He had been gone pretty much of all of last week..............off to Austin TX, the state capitol, to compete with the other students from around and across Texas. When he called to let us know he had won, I cried!..........sigh...........I always cry at happy events. ..............do you?
I will be back .............later, with chicken and duck photos.............but now I must find a tissue.........{:

Congratulations to Joseph! That is quite an accomplishment. I usually guard the privacy, too, but....sometimes you just got to crow!

Isn't it a neat thing when our children exceed our expectations? Of course we are always proud of them, just for the persons they are. Congrats !

CONGRATULATIONS JOSEPH!!! I know you are one proud mama, Kathleen! You've got one of those brainy kids! I think that's great! He'll do well in college for sure and has great prospects for employment! I wonder what he's going to major in .... engineering? physics? biology? aerospace something? You go right ahead and cry... and CROW ALL YOU WANT TO!

Kathleen that is a beautiful thing to brag about, at least your not saying your son was arrested for some crime.
You have a right to brag about something your child did that was good. Congratulations to Joseph. That makes all those diaper changes worth it :o)

Kathleen, we share your feelings on not posting photos, etc. of family and/or friends although we will mention them in our blog. Still, when wonderful things happen as in the case of Joseph's achievements it is so nice to really "crow" about it.
