My roses are heavy

with rain drops...............yes!.........your prayers came through and we got a good soaking the other night!
Thank you for your prayers!!

My chickens nests are overflowing with eggs. I just love to see all of the colors, don't you? I was delivering my eggs to my customers, and now,......... they come out to me for fresh eggs! Something that I have been wanting to happen, and even though I never asked them to, they were able to find me and tell their friends!

It is wonderful,to me, to know that people are now connecting my "farm" with fresh eggs!!!

I have been busy getting my nest ready. Children sprouting their wings and leaving and children flying home to visit!  How about you? Have you been safe from the storms? Are you having visitors? or are you having your young ones leave the nest?
I would love to hear!

Oh, so glad you got rain, I know how you all have needed it. We too need it, none in over a month. The grass I worked so hard on is burned, just springs of brown. We cant water but I am able to water some sod we had put on a hill, at least its thriving. Looks like we will have another dry hot summer.

I so wish I lived close, I would buy your eggs, Nothing like fresh eggs and what lovely colors you have too.

I pray God will keep you all safe!

Hey Kathleen! Now that's a Yellow Rose of Texas if I ever saw one! Beautiful!

Glad you got some much-needed rain, too. I hope to have chickens (how many times have I said that) as soon as I get to the farm fulltime. I want to be able to do that, too, sell eggs. A friend of mine has quite a few chickens, and she makes enough from her egg sales that she can buy feed for all her critters - a calf to feed out, 4-5 goats, 2 pigs, all the chickens and 4 labs! Plus, they get all the eggs they can eat, too. I'm glad you're becoming known in your area for egg sales - I'd much rather have home-grown eggs than store-bought ones. I've been buying from my friend for several years now.

My nest will be empty this summer - first time ever. Daughter is staying in her college town (she has a boyfriend), oldest son still in NAshville, middle son just got married. It'll sure be different! I'm sure we'll see them for visits, but the days of them coming home are winding down to a close! Hope you have a wonderful family-filled Memorial Day weekend!

Isn't this weather a strange thing? We've had lots of rain; 3" on Fri. and more Mon. night. Usually we're in the hayfields by now.

The eggs are so pretty; I can't have laying hens because we are contract poultry growers and the company doesn't want "yard" chickens for disease reasons. Hopefully, when we retire I can have hens.

Hope you get more rain, minus the storms.

I'm so glad to hear you finally got some rain, Kathleen! That is very good news. That's great about you having customers to buy your eggs too. I'm happy for you. :)

Your eggs look beautiful, Kathleen! There is just nothing to compare with fresh, is there? We had our youngest chick back in the nest for a visit last week, but she's flown back to her own nest now. And we still need rain. Glad you got some!

I am glad you got the rain and we got a few dry days. Love the colorful eggs. My nest is sporadically empty with teenagers coming and going. The farm nests however are overflowing just like yours : )

Kathleen, so glad you got rain at last. We had heavy downpours as well both last night and this afternoon, but thankfully no damage. Sad to listen and see the news events about weather causing such death and destruction in other parts of the U.S. If we were closer, we would surely be one of your egg customers as we used to buy them fresh when living in NJ. No young'uns at home and even the baby robins have fledged and left the nest so we are definitely empty nesters.

I've been so absent and busy not commenting and barely having time to read any blogs.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS to your son! Wow physics. Makes a teacher proud to hear a mom talk about her son...you have complete bragging rights anytime.

I love your blog sooo...and have missed reading. I won't stay away so long! (I have gone back and read every post on both blogs!I'm all caught up now Kathleen.).

Blessings to you and your family.

Your eggs are so pretty, and the rain makes such a difference. Rain is a sweet blessing most of the time.

I had not thought to pray about people coming over for my eggs, most have been delivered or given away when I cannot sell them.Fancy that, not taking the time to pray about this, thank-you for the reminder He answers prayers for every thing, rain and egg buyers arriving at your door.

You are having a lot of excitement aren't you? Children sprouting their wings and leaving, children coming home. Happy, busy times, good thing you have plenty of eggs for breakfast!

Kathleen! Glad to hear you got rain! It still has not rained here. Your yellow rose is gorgeous! Happy to hear that your selling those precious eggs. I still have the same problem where my one hen insists on eating her eggs. Arrrgh! I have her isolated from the other hens so she does not bother them. Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day.

The eggs are beautiful. Such perfect creations. I think many are coming to the realization that it is best to know where your food comes from. I am so glad that you had rain and no terrible storms. We had our last child leave home and get his first apartment. Kinda nice and sad at the same time.
