Fires are spreading across Texas

fed by high winds and drought dried grasslands. Thousands of acres of land has been destroyed and many have lost their homes.

Prayer circles are formed in every church and center available with everyone gathering to pray for rain and for the safety of loved ones near and far. Everyone is sitting anxiously by the phone..........waiting for a call to say that "all is well".

Please pray for us here in Texas.........for rain and for the safety from these treacherous fires.

Hi Kathleen,

It seems that Mother Nature is on a rampage this spring...you with the high winds and fires and the south having heavy destruction from 62 tornadoes over the past few days. We had very high winds for a few days and a bit of rain but we dodged the bad stuff this time by as close as 5 miles. Thomas went into Pigeon Forge yesterday morning and all of the rivers are out of their banks {again}. We are seeing spring storms like we've never seen before..this is our third spring in our new home...so it seems that the harsh winter that we all experienced is continuing into spring.

I do pray for everyone that is in harms way. Are any of these fires close to you?? I pray for you and families, friends, neighbors and for the whole of Texas.

Keep us updated....

Hugs and Love,
Stephanie ♥

My heart goes out to all those involved in fighting or in the path of these deadly fires. All our technology hasn't been able to prevent this. Take care!

We're praying, Kathleen. We've had many small fires here in East Texas, too. My daughter is in college out west-ways and she said the skies are hazy and there is ash on their cars.

Two of our friends at church have lost their deer leases out your way due to fires burning the complete lease, cabins, etc. I feel for the people out there as well as their livestock and wildlife - game fences are a death trap right now. So sad... I'm hoping this new front will bring rain to neede parts of Texas this week! Please take care!

So sad about the fires there.
We have had a little break here because of snow and rain...finally. Could happen again though. The wind dries things out so fast. Prayers go up.

Kathleen, I am so sad to hear about the fires over there. We understand and sympathise with you; Australia is oh so familiar with fires and drought.
I watched in horror as our t.v. news showed the devastation wreaked by the tornadoes over there. I assume from your comments here that you are safe. I'm visiting as many of my American friends blogs as I can, to leave messages of hope.
Hugs from Gina
