When life hands you...........................

sunflowers..............................

make bouquets!!! {:

Here I am........ standing in the middle of the farm's acreage..............in every direction I turn, this is what I see....................sunflowers..............some way over my head.

So I have taken advantage of nature's lovely gift and have decorated my porches with sunflowers, I have vases of sunflowers in the house and I took a big bouquet to my boss...............she was delighted.
How about you?
What flowers are you blessed with during this time?
I would love to hear!

Hi Kathleen, Your sunflowers are so cheerful! We have roses, Encore azaleas and sedums in bloom currently. Just in the last 2 days, we are seeing more colors in the leaves. Hope you have a good evening.

Gosh, I think all our flowers have died off! That is a really beautiful field of sunflowers!

Oh Kathleen, those are so beautiful! And to be surrounded by them must be heavenly!
We have some beautiful morning glories blooming right now, but best of all, I love to find the bittersweet vines that grow wild in the fencerow... (that is if I can find those gorgeous bright colored berries before the birdies do!) They are great vines for making wreaths!

Your sunflowers are so beautiful ... the birds left us several different kinds this year.

Love makes me happy ... pure & simple.

Have a great eve ~

Beautiful! I don't have any sunflowers in my garden, but, after seeing this lovely post, I may have to buy myself a bouquet...

Oh they're gorgeous! They're so bright and cheery. I enjoyed this post, Kathleen. Not many flowers left here this time of year except maybe a few mums here and there.

sunflowers just make a person smile don't they? I'm enjoying our moonflower vine - with shorter days the blooms open before dark and stay open a little while in the morning - pure lovely white.

Hello Kathleen, Thanks for sharing your sunflowers, the bees must just love your garden. The roses are blooming here at Kainga.
Happy days.

I have sunflowers as well, my daughter's perennial sunflowers are about eight-nine feet tall. A few dahlias and a bit of this and that remain but we had our first frost last night so who knows what I will find for this morning's fare for the vase.

Your sunflowers are so pretty - bright and sunshiny and happy looking! We still have crepe myrtles blooming, though not as prolifically as earlier, four o'clocks, marigolds, impatiens, petunias - lots still here, just not as exuberant, getting a little tired.

Mums can manage the cool falls up here, but I mostly decorate with gourds and pumpkins from the garden.

Your flowers are lovely--All I have are cannas and they are starting to look pretty shabby with the advent of autumn. I suppose we will mow them down soon, but they will peek their heads up next spring! We have so many trees--large ones in our front yard with so much shade that there is little room for flowers!
