Blue Skies And Cheery Thoughts

are now encircling me;......................... the encouraging comments and emails from YOU, my blogging friends.......... have given my spirit a boost
making the frustration of the past few days...................melt away.
To all you dear friends, a big THANK YOU!!! Your words and advice helped in so many ways, and yes, I am going to give my hand a try at a lot of what you advised me to do. And in reading your wonderful words.............I realized, it's not just your good advice.............it's the heart warming feeling I get knowing that , although we are miles and worlds apart............you are there, sending your sweet thoughts and comfort. I am heart touched and feel so blessed because of you!
Today, being my day off, I spent the early morning hours, listening to the rooster's crow, the birds chirping and visiting around the garden grounds. I seem to linger in my pumpkin and gourd patch the most. The vibrant, large round balls, are telling me fall is not too far away. Fall is my favorite time of year.

This year I have planted different and unusual looking gourds and am getting quite excited to see the results. These gourds are as big as the pumpkins and the photo on the seed package promises them to turn to orange and rust colors, along with the green. I can't wait!

My zinnia garden is still a large mass of green leaves with buds, so there is not much to yet see in the large garden. In a few weeks, you will see the whole picture when it all starts to open up and bloom. There are, however, a good handful that have already started airing out there floral dresses in the prettiest colors of summer.

Again, this vibrant orange color, makes me think of the pumpkins growing in the next garden. It was not too long ago, that I did not really care for the color of orange..............until I discovered pumpkin growing and the world of zinnias.
So I close this post with warm wishes to all of you, my blogging friends and readers.
Have a happy weekend !

Hi Kathleen, What pretty pictures and you have gotten me in the mood for Autumn too! I love the fall of the year. Oh, it will be fun to see the pumpkins and gourds. One of my blog friends, Patsy at the Smiths-Bennie & Patsy, is growing apple shaped gourds this year to make birdhouses!!!
I am so happy you had a good morning to soak in the air, sunshine, flowers and birds in your yard. Morning is such a peaceful time to wander around and check on the progress of everything. I hope the week ahead is good ~ sending a hug from GA!

Hi Kathleen,

Those zinnias are so happy! :0) I'm glad you are lifted a bit. I feel the same way you do about the blessings that come from knowing others are out there that read and actually care to say something.

I can't say this enough....always try to follow what your heart desires. That is where God really wants you. We are all born with gifts, talents and a mission that were all directly given by God.

I remind myself of that often and that keeps me moving forward with my creative dreams...

Here's a scripture that really speaks to me and makes me really feel that I am to follow my heart's desire.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

I guess scripture says different things to us at different times but this one has really struck a chord with me..I just know I'm to continue on my creative path.

I know we all need to make money to live in this world but if you can get by with less of it during your time of start up with your embroidery I do believe in the long run you will be most blessed. These things don't happen instantly..it just takes time....in God's timing! What a difficult concept that is for us to learn, right!?

My Thomas was laid off in February {so now he's retired for the second time} His Dad was an artist...mostly painting...Thomas is gifted the same way except his desire is to wood carve. The stuff he's done in the past few months is evidence that he's following his dreams. ♥

Oh....well now that I've written a complete chapter I'll close for now. I always love to visit and talk with you.

We've been busy with house projects all summer so I've been absent a lot but I think of you often.

Happy Day,
Stephanie ♥

Does seem just being outside in the created world brings a healing to our spirits. Your zinnias are wonderful - my garden has been basically yuck this year - too much rain at first and now the heat is overwhelming even daily watering - but we don't control the weather or our gardens - and a positive attitude beats back the blues most every day!

beautiful flowers and yard
sorry
I don't care for lizardie creatures (o: glad you got a cool picture though.
About your question about what you want to do when you grow up???
guess I just want to hang with my grands when I can
seems like a major thing I do in my life
and that is what I want
hubby and I sure enjoyed being off in the wilderness for ten days and talked about driving all over in a Volkswagen bus when we retire (o:

Glad you are feeling better. I have been quite absent since knee scopes, but they are getting better! I can relate to your last post. Sometimes it seems life just gets settled down and we hit another bump in the road. Thats why God gives us friends.... to help us up when we fall. Have a blessed day!
