Jack Frost And Cupid

Jack Frost has been dancing with Winter across the fields and grounds here on the farm.
He's even stopped to rest on the trees in the woods.
Meanwhile..................in the greenhouse..........another visitor has stopped by......................
Upon opening the door, I am greeted with the prettiest blossoms

of orchids...........in the prettiest colors and designs..............

Apparently, Cupid has made an early call and knows the door to my heart!
How about you? Has Cupid visited you a little early? When he does visit..........what does he bring you? I would love to hear!

Oh my goodness Kathleen! How beautiful are those orchids! I didn't know they liked cool weather! Or do you have a heater in there? I love that fuschia/white one with the squiggly designs on it!

What beautiful orchids, Kathleen. I didn't know you kept those among your other flowers. I had one for years in Texas that bloomed twice a year, but it croaked once we moved here to Illinois for lack of sunshine and warm weather in the winter. Thanks for sharing that little bit of paradise.

I have a couple of phalanopsis orchids I bought at the grocery store. When they bloom the flowers last a long time on the stalk.
I was amazed I was able to keep them alive in my windowsill !

Those flowers are gorgeous! How wonderful to be able to have them in this cold winter! The only thing we have been brought was ice!

Oh Kathleen, they are so beautiful. I love orchids but our house stays way too cold to grow them. The colors are so vibrant. You have such a green thumb.

Well Mister Winter and that snappy Jack Frost have not been seen here in quite a while. It has been so long that I hope they don't return.

Cupid on the other hand has shot the whole Vick family right straight through the heart and he came months ago.

It's amazing how frost could be on everything on the outside and your orchids are blooming on the inside. It's all so beautiful.

wonderful viewpoint as always - and I DO love those orchids - they get a bad rap - really aren't any harder to keep than any blooming plant - need moderate sun, moisture and regular feeding - no cold blasts of air! They are so pretty - thanks for sharing!
