Pumpkin and gourd time!!!

I could not resist and picked one of my pumpkins to decorate my porch with. Isn't it pretty...? I have about 8 pumpkins, so there is really not enough to sit by the road and sell. I have some friends who will be coming out to pick one and I want to decorate some more. So maybe next spring, I will plant more plants
along with the gourds like these that have done so well for me. If I have a good turnout, and I build my courage up,maybe next fall I will be the pumpkin lady by the road. {: Don't you all just love fall time?

Pumpkin looks great! I was going to oplant some but waited too late! Rats!

I'm sorry to hear about your sweet kitty. I say I'm not going to have any more pets, then I break down and do it anyway. What would we do without our furry friends! Hugs - Vickie

Looks so perfect! I probably won't buy decorative pumpkins this year - but PioneerWoman's cooking blog this week about making your own pumpkin puree might push me into buying a few of the smaller pie pumpkins and trying it out. You've done great! Did you find any in that volunteer patch?

Wow, that's a nice big round pumpkin. What a beautiful decoration. If you do as well next year with more plants, you'll be the pumpkin lady for sure! :)

I like your porch decorations, and you can bake with them after the season....unless your season runs into Christmas like mine does. Sometimes the pumpkins and gourds last long enough and are still pretty, so I grace them with fir boughs, berries and a glass ball or 3.
