Farewell, Noah

Where are you Noah? It has been a week since you have been gone and I am heartsick. I still wake up to let you out in the early morning hours, yet you are not begging at the door,...... I still check the door at night hoping you will come dashing in, hungry for your favorite treat.
Sophie and I take our walks, hoping you will pop up out of the brush to scare us as you often have. I have searched every corner of our acres and have even crossed into the barbed wired ranch land calling your name. Nothing but quietness. The coyotes, I am afraid, know what has happened to you.

You made me happy in the very short year that you shared in our lives. You loved being a cat. Exploring, jumping, climbing, and claiming to be king over our property. I finally put away your bowl and the little jingle balls that you loved to play with. If there is a heaven for kitty cats, I know that you are running in a meadow and chasing butterflies. Life is so short and one year was not enough for me to enjoy you. I will miss you for a very long time.

Aww... I'm so sorry to hear about Noah. Is it possible that someone took him to an animal shelter or humane society? You could always check there. Just in case.

Oh Kathleen, I am so sorry! I know you are heartbroken. {{Hugs}}

It is just so hard to lose a pet. Take comfort in the fact that while Noah was with you, he had a great life!

Kathleen - I'm SO sorry to hear about your kitty Noah. How sad! We lost a dog this spring. It hurts - I don't care what anyone thinks. They are part of our family and we love them and grieve for them when they are gone. Blessings to you... Vickie

I am so sorry for your loss of little Noah. As others have said, there's some comfort in knowing how happy he was with you.

The loss of a pet leaves such a gaping hole in your heart--I hope yours mends soon. He was such a cute little fellow.

Kathleen, I know how sad and painful it must feel for you to lose Noah. Cats are such wonderful companions and friends. They truly do become a part of the family. Thoughts and prayers and a big hug are going out to you, my dear. It is very obvious that Noah was loved. He had much more than many cats have in knowing that.

Kathleen - I'm so very sorry - what a beautiful cat and I know he had a wonderful life with you - one blessing for animals is that they only know NOW - they don't count their tomorrows - so Noah knew some fabulous NOWS. They are right - could come back but I have also dealt with the coyotes and their passion for cats. Doggone it!We lock our Moe cat up every single night - he doesn't much like it but it is the only reason I think we've kept him for almost 9 years.

Oh, poor you and Noah ! I am hoping he does come back, we had a cat we gave up on a few years ago. We were sure she was coyote food, but she DID come back after being gone for a month. You are probably more realistic than I, but there is always a chance. Either way, she is missing and the loss is felt. I am sorry for your loss. KathyB.

So sorry about Noah. Coyotes can be so mean. We had a little beagle, Wilma, that they killed. I know you must miss him.
