The dove flys away

The little dove stayed a couple of days and got rested up. He began eating and drinking on his own, so I took him out, opened up my hands and away he flew! I am so glad he made it! The weekend is upon me so I must get to work. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you - I needed a "happily ever after" this weekend and here it is! Makes me think of a wonderful song -
I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away)
We used to sing it at the end of our church services - haven't done that in a long while. Thanks Kathleen - you are to be admired for living in peace with all (well all except egg thieving snakes!) LOL

How beautiful!

And I love Linda's reminder of one of my very favorite hymns.

I didn't realize you're the same Kathleen from Yesteryear Embroideries! I've visited this blog before and LOVE it. This is great!

I'm so glad your little feathered friend did so well. You are such a blessing.
Hugs and smiles!

So nice to get back home to a proper computer so I can visit my blog friends!

The photo of your little dove is gorgeous - I have a few in my backyard, but have never been about to get a photo as nice as that. I love doves - they bring such a divine mytholoy with them, hope and all that.

Does this mean you're the Dove Doctor?
What a kind heart, I know the dove appreciates all you've done for him too!

That's a ring-neck dove. There aren't a lot of those around, but they are making a come-back. Very cool.
